What should I ask after a payment is returned?
Check the account record, the payment attempt and the agreement's handling of unsuccessful collection.
A failed debit and a successfully paid instalment have different consequences even if an attempt appears in a bank statement.
Contact the provider through a verified channel and ask what is now due, how to pay and what charges were applied. Keep confirmation instead of assuming that another attempt happens automatically.
Prepare a question about a loan charge
Collect the date, amount and contractual wording, then follow the provider's relevant enquiry process.
Definitions
- Total repayable
